Reflecting on the heavy online scrutiny, Manoj expressed his deep frustration over how modern audiences are constantly sitting on the edge of their seats, seemingly desperate to take offense at creative work before even fully understanding the actual context or plot of a film. Manoj strongly defended the creative team by explaining that the name was never intended to target or insult any religious group, as the main character is a corrupt Delhi Police officer named Ajay Dikshit whose colleagues merely gave him the nickname Pandat within the department. He further clarified that actors are rarely involved in the corporate process of naming a project, but when the team realized the intense sensitivity and hurt feelings of a section of society, they willingly offered an official apology and agreed to drop the title during a single smooth court hearing.
