Bollywood actress Madhoo Shah has opened up about her beautiful journey in the film industry and shared some highly entertaining behind-the-scenes memories from the sets of her iconic 1996 film Diljale. In a recent candid conversation, the talented actress spoke about how her professional dynamic with action superstar Ajay Devgn transformed significantly over the years. The duo famously made their grand Bollywood debuts together in the massive 1991 hit Phool Aur Kaante. Madhoo admitted that during their very first film, they did not share a very deep friendship as both were newcomers completely focused on proving their talent and managing their individual work pressures on set. However, by the time they reunited for the romantic action drama Diljale, which was directed by Harry Baweja and also starred Sonali Bendre, their career levels had changed completely. Both actors had achieved major stardom, with Madhoo gaining massive acclaim for her legendary performance in Mani Ratnam’s Roja and Ajay Devgn cementing his status as a reliable industry superstar.

The actress fondly recalled that shooting for Diljale in the scenic mountains of Shimla was an incredibly fun and unforgettable experience for the entire cast. Madhoo revealed that Ajay Devgn was a massive prankster on the movie sets and loved pulling legs and teasing people. She jokingly added that she was smart enough to immediately join team Ajay Devgn right from the start of the schedule. Madhoo explained with a laugh that if anyone chose not to be on his side, his relentless pranks would literally make them cry on set. By staying firmly on his team, she managed to save herself from becoming a target of his jokes and instead got to sit back, enjoy the fun, and laugh along with him as they teased other people together. This playful environment helped create an amazing off-screen bond between Madhoo, Ajay, and Sonali Bendre, leading to a lifelong friendship that she still protects and cherishes today whenever she crosses paths with them.

Interestingly, Madhoo pointed out a beautiful coincidence about her acting career, noting that her very first major Hindi film was with Ajay Devgn, and one of her last major films before she took a break from the silver screen was also with him. She revealed that when the film was released in theatres, Anand was living in Singapore and went to watch Diljale with his family. Surprisingly, he had not even seen her blockbuster film Roja at that time, making Diljale the very first film where he ever saw her on screen, and he instantly fell in love with her performance. Madhoo shared a cute recent anecdote that just a few days ago, her husband found her debut movie Phool Aur Kaante on YouTube while sitting idle at his office and lovingly told her how innocent she looked back then.
