Anupama 4th June 2026 Written Update: Is Prem’s Toxic Ultimatum Justified, or Has He Finally Crossed the Line?

Precap: Rahi told Prem that she didn’t even met with Anupama as he got her to the door of the Kothari house to ask him to make a choice

The Thursday episode of Anupama started off with Rahi, who told Prem that she didn’t even meet with Anupama as he got her to the door. Prem opened the door and said if she thinks her mother Anupama is right then she can go to her. “But then you won’t be able to come to your husband,” he warned.

Shruti thought to herself that her daughter Rahi is getting swayed and her son-in-law has dragged her daughter up to the door. Shruti jumped in and told Rahi to tell Prem that she won’t forgive Anupama ever and won’t go to ever meet with her. Pari added that Rahi doesn’t deserve this. Vasundhara then told Rahi, “She is adopted but you are close to Anupama. In your veins, your mother’s revolt, thoughts and betrayal flowsu and not her blood.”

Prem asked Rahi to choose between Prem and Anupama, declaring, “If you choose your mother Anupama, forget about getting a chance to look at myself alive, you won’t even get to see my dead face.”

Rahi’s Heartbreaking Choice: Choosing Her Husband Over Her Mother

Rahi immediately said, “May you live a long life, even if it takes from mine.” She explained that when she got married to him, she decided to live with him and made a choice back then. She vowed that from now on, she would not take her mother’s name ever again in this house.
Meanwhile, Anupama sent a voice note to Khyati, saying only a mother can feel a mother, and asked her to take care of Rahi as she is feeling tensed about her. Khyati sent back a voice note stating, “You are absolutely right, as I will take care of Rahi until she is alive and in this house.”

Bapuji’s Karela Metaphor: A Lessons in English for Banku

Ansh and Prarthana both came to discuss their set up of problems to Digvijay, but they both got awkward and asked each other to resolve their issues first with Digvijay. He asked them if they are done they can leave, as Anupama saw Ansh get shy. Anupama then asked Bapuji to come along with them as Ishani and Banku will study, but he asked them to continue going ahead.

Ishani asked Banku which subject he finds the most tough. When he said they won’t study that, Ishani insisted they will study that subject first. Bapuji stepped in and asked Banku to imagine a plate full of food items like karela, baingan, dal, and laddoo, asking which item he would eat first. Banku said, “I will eat karela first and will enjoy laddoos at the end.” Bapuji explained that, likewise, he should study the hard subject first so he can enjoy his favourite one later. Banku confessed that English is the hardest for him.

Ishani decided they would start with reading. She asked him to read, and as he started in a low tone, Ishani encouraged him to read out loudly. She reassured him that no one will judge him here, saying, “Like how you are teaching me to cafe work, I am teaching you English.”

Baa’s Binoculars & Ansh’s New Beginning

The next morning, Leela saw Pakhi sleeping and took away her phone, which immediately woke her up. Leela started searching for her binoculars glasses on the couch. Kinjal got tea for her and asked her to have it, but Leela refused, saying she first needs her binoculars so that she can keep an eye on Anuj’s cafe. She asked everyone to find them for her, and only then would she drink her tea.

Meanwhile, Ansh was getting ready as Anupama saw him in a happier mood. She got tea for him, which made him nervous as he was thinking about what Prerna did for him yesterday. At the same time, Digvijay handed Prerna a cup of coffee at their cafe with a heart design in it. She asked why he got a heart for her today, and he took Ansh’s name, which made her shy.

Anupama kept looking at Ansh in his room until he asked her not to look at him like that. She took Prerna’s name and asked him if he likes her. Ansh deflected, asking, “How can I take another friend’s name in front of his bestie?” Anupama smiled and said of course he can, as people have more than one friend. Ansh admitted he is so comfortable with Prerna that he can talk to her about Anupama, Priyanshi, and even Prathana.

Digvijay told Prerna that if Saavi would have been with them, she would have been her age—independent and smart. He noted that he considers her like his own daughter, but Prerna stopped him. She expressed that considering her as a daughter is the biggest compliment, but if he praises her more, she won’t be able to handle it. Digvijay mentioned that yesterday they saw her dance for Ansh. Prerna explained that Ansh saw Pranshi’s video and got emotional, so to cheer him up, she did a funny dance and there was nothing much to it.

Digvijay replied, “You made a sad man happy—how could that be a small thing?” Back in the room, Anupama told Ansh that she has seen a sparkle in his eyes when he looks at Prerna, which surprised him. She told him that Prerna is more than just a good friend. However, Ansh said he cannot feel like that because he cannot live for his own happiness, but only for his family. He got emotional and felt a pain in his heart, asking how he could cheat Prarthana and Priyanshi since he is a father.

At the cafe, Digvijay told Prerna that Ansh is his favourite too, and asked her to share her feelings with him. She revealed that she left her mother by her own choice and admitted she isn’t good with relationships. Digvijay shared that because of similar feelings, he used to stay in Goa and wouldn’t speak to anyone or let anyone close.

He then shared a piece of advice someone once gave him: “By closing the door and window of your house, you can stop sunlight and air to come inside, but not pain.”
Prerna correctly guessed that the quote belonged to Anupama. Digvijay continued, saying, “I peeked out to see, and could you guess what did I witnessed?” When she asked what, Digvijay replied with a smile, “Hope.”
